Scott Cooksey

Cooksey has spoken to thousands of students across the United States as a Certified Speaker for’s Making It Count Programs, providing students the tools they need to make smart decisions and set themselves up for success in their life after high school.

For adult audiences, he has both spoken at a number of conferences and led hundreds of corporate training events across the United States, U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Canada, and in the fall of 2011, Australia. Organizations for which he has delivered corporate training programs include: AmGen Pharmaceuticals, ConocoPhillips, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Kaiser Permanente, Navajo Nation, Proctor & Gamble, Time Warner Cable, United Airlines, and many more.

Cooksey is a graduate of Oklahoma State University’s Spears School of Business, holding a degree in Business Administration. He is a graduate of Leadership Tulsa, past Chair of Young Professionals of Tulsa, and currently serves as the Director of Communications for the Houston Chapter of the National Speakers Association. As a young man, Scott earned the rank of Eagle Scout. In 2006, he was nominated for the Carnegie Hero Fund Award for his assistance in the rescue of an unknown man from a burning apartment.
